We offer the full Microsoft Office 2003 & XP classes plus Quickbooks and other popular programs. Our two-day classes are Microsoft Access 2003/XP Level 1 and 2 and Microsoft FrontPage 2003/XP Level 1. These classes are filled with so much information that students have requested the classes be spread over a two-day period.
Our facility is equipped with high speed internet, along with fifteen workstations for hands on learning. Each class is taught by an experienced instructor. During the class, the student will have the ability to use the training in a hands-on environment. Instructors are available to help each student as needed. eLearning classes are offered for those individuals who might not be able to attend a class on site.
Introduction to Computers
This class is designed to teach each student the basics skills needed to operate a computer. Learn about the different computer components (i.e. mouse, keyboard, monitor, hard drive, memory, etc… ) and their functions. Also, learn how to properly turn on the computer and shut it down. Each student will learn the proper way to use a mouse and keyboard. Learn how to close, open, and size a window. Launch a program, rename a file, copy a file, move a file, and the proper use of the help system.
Microsoft Office 2003 Systems
Learn how to use Word’s desktop publishing features to create a brochure or advertisement. Overview of the Word menus along with the many features such as; word-wrap, spell check, saving a document, fonts, bold, italics, underline, clip art, and printing. You will also learn the basic styles of creating research papers. During this part of the class you will learn how to: change margins, create headers, create footers, indent paragraphs, create an autocorrect entry, add footnote, insert a page break, sort paragraphs, and inserting a hyperlink.
Introduction to Microsoft Excel
Learn how to use Excel to create a spreadsheet for your home or business. Overview of the Excel menus along with many other features such as; selecting cell ranges, entering text and numbers, using AutoSum, copying cells, changing fonts, naming a cell, creating a chart, saving, printing, and many others. In the second part of the class, each student will learn how to enter a formula, apply the Average, Max and Min functions, determine a percentage, color the characters and background, add borders, align text cells, check spelling, use a web query to get real time data, and email a spreadsheet.
Introduction to PowerPoint
Learn how to create a PowerPoint presentation. Each student will learn how to select a design template, create a slide, change font styles, save a presentation, add a new slide, create a text slide with single and multi level lists, move a slide, view a presentation in slide show view, check spelling, and print. During the second part of the class each user will learn how to create a presentation from an outline, customize a new slide show, add a slide on the outline tab, change slide layout, insert clipart, move clipart, add a header and footer, add an animation scheme to a slide show, animate clip art, and email the presentation.
